The Directory is where you find your teammates. You can search for anyone at your business, filter by location, skill or team, and call, text, email or message someone straight from their card.
You choose what's shared on your own card. Your email and phone number are shared by default, and your birthday may be too, so check your settings if you'd rather keep them private. Your pronouns only show up when you turn them on.
Directory is on by default. If you can't find it, your Account Owner or admin may have turned it off.
How to open the Directory
On the web, click Directory from the left navigation menu.
In the mobile app, tap the Directory tab at the bottom of the screen. If your tab bar is already full, open the menu and tap Staff Directory instead.
How to search and filter
On the web:
Type in the Search by name box to find someone by name or email address.
Use the Select Location, Select Skill and Select Team dropdowns to narrow the list. You can pick more than one option in each, and locations are grouped by region.
In the app:
Use the Search bar at the top.
To filter, tap the filter icon in the top-right corner. Choose locations, skills or teams on the By Location, By Skill and By Team tabs, then tap Apply. While filters are on, a dot shows on the filter icon.
Skill filters, and skills on cards, only appear if your account uses class sub requests.
What's on a teammate's card
Each card shows your teammate's photo, their name, and the Locations, Skills and Teams they're assigned to.
If they've chosen to share them, you'll also see their pronouns and birthday (month and day only). (Inactive) under a name means that person hasn't confirmed their NetGym account yet.
Use the buttons at the bottom of the card to get in touch:
Call and Text: call or text their phone number. On the web, Text only shows on smaller screens like phones and tablets.
Email: opens a new email to them.
Chat: starts a direct message with them in NetGym.
On the web, hover over Call or Email to see the number or address. In the app, tap Locations, Skills or Teams to see the full list.
Call, Text and Email only appear when that teammate shares their phone number or email.
Chat only appears when messaging is on for your account and your role is allowed to send direct messages to that teammate.
How to Control What You Share
Your name, photo, locations, skills and teams always show on your card. You decide whether your email, phone number, birthday and pronouns show too.
On the web:
Click your photo → My Profile in the top navigation bar, then open the Personal Info tab.
Click Edit.
Turn the Display in directory switch on or off next to Email, Phone Number, Birthday and Pronouns.
Click Save.
In the app:
Open the menu and tap My Profile, then open the Information tab.
Turn on or off Display Email in Directory, Display Phone in Directory, Display Birthday in Directory and Display Pronouns in Directory. Your change saves as soon as you tap the switch.
The phone, birthday and pronouns switches only work once you've filled in that field. If your pronouns are set to Prefer not to say, they never show in the Directory.
How to turn the Directory off (Account Owners and Admins)
Go to Settings → Account Info → Features.
Switch off Directory, and click Update Features.
The Directory then disappears from the web and the app for everyone at your business. Switch it back on at any time.
This page is available to Account Owners and to anyone whose role has permission to manage account settings.
