For Staff Users
NetGym gives users with the staff role—such as front desk team members, studio assistants, and sales associates—the ability to control how they receive Shift Management notifications so they can stay informed and prepared.
Accessing Notification Settings
Staff users can manage their notification preferences by navigating to:
My Profile → Notifications
From there, scroll down to the Shift Notifications section to customize settings.
Notification Frequency Options
Staff members can choose how often they receive shift-related notifications:
Daily Summary: Receive one notification per day that summarizes all shift-related activity, such as sub requests.
Immediate Notifications: Receive a notification each time a sub request is sent out for shift coverage.
This allows staff to decide whether they prefer a single daily update or real-time alerts.
Shift Reminder Preferences
Staff can also choose when (or if) they want reminders for their own shifts:
24 hours before the shift
2 hours before the shift
Both reminders
Or no reminders at all
These reminders help ensure staff are prepared for upcoming coverage.
Notification Delivery Methods
Shift notifications can be delivered through one or more of the following channels:
Email
Push notifications
SMS*
*NOTE- SMS will only send for the 2 hour and 24 hour coverage reminders, no other forms of notifications will receive SMS*
Staff can select the channels that work best for them.
Customizing Notifications by Type
Staff users can further refine notifications by type, including:
Schedule publication updates when a manager publishes or updates the schedule
Reminders for their own shifts
Each notification type can be enabled or disabled based on preference.
What Staff Notifications Look Like
When a new schedule is published, staff on the schedule receive a clear email notification that includes:
A greeting with their name
A list of upcoming shifts by day
A link to view and confirm shifts directly in NetGym
This makes it easy to review and manage their schedule without extra steps.
