What is the Manager Board feature?
The manager board is a status of a sub request that allows managers to approve a sub request before it gets sent to eligible instructors to pick up to sub.
How does it work?
An instructor will create a sub request
The sub request becomes a new status called Manager Board for the manager of the location to review and approve. This will be on the All Requests page where you can filter by the Manager Board status.
Instructors will see the sub request in their sent list with a status of "Pending Manager Approval"
The manager can approve or decline the request
The manager can also remove any potential invitee, assign a sub directly, or cancel the request
If approved, the sub request will change status from Pending Manager Approval to Open within the sent section of the instructors sub board. An email notification is sent to the instructor letting them know its approved. The manager can also place a comment within that sub request which will notify the instructor as well.
If declined, an email notification is sent to the instructor and the sub request will be deleted off their sub board.
If the sub request is approved, the sub request will go out to all eligible instructors to pick up.
Once the sub request is picked up (someone has accepted), the sub will be approved via your current account approval setting (manager approval, instructor approval, auto-approve).
Advanced Notice option: You have the option to decide when you want the manager board approvals to be on. For example, you can decide to only have manager board on for sub requests created within 1 week of the class time. This will allow any sub request created more than 1 week in advance of the class date to be sent to the team and skip manager approval. All sub requests sent within 1 week will go through manager approval. Once approved, will then go to the eligible instructors to pick up.
