How to Reset your Password

Forgot your password or locked out of NetGym? Here's how to reset it on the web or in the mobile app, and what to do about a sign-in lock.

Forgot your password, or locked out after too many tries? You can reset it yourself in a couple of minutes, on the web or in the NetGym mobile app.

Haven't activated your NetGym profile yet? A password reset won't work until you do. Follow How to Resend Your Activation Email from the NetGym Login Page instead.

How to reset your password

On the web:

  1. Go to the NetGym sign-in page, enter your email, and click Submit.

  2. If your email belongs to more than one gym, choose the right one on Select your gym/studio.

  3. On the Sign In screen, click Forgot Password?.

  4. On the Forgot Password page, enter your email and click Continue. You'll see a message confirming that a reset email has been sent.

  5. Open the email and click the reset link.

  6. On the Please create a new password page, enter your New Password and Confirm New Password. Passwords must be at least 6 characters.

  7. Click Login. Your new password is saved, you're signed in, and you land on Home.

In the mobile app:

  1. Enter your email on the sign-in screen and tap Continue. Pick your gym on Select your gym/studio if asked.

  2. On the Sign In screen, tap Forgot password?.

  3. On the Forgot Password screen, enter your email and tap Continue.

  4. Open the reset email on your phone and tap the link. If the NetGym app is installed, it opens the app's Reset Password screen.

  5. Enter your New Password and Confirm New Password (at least 6 characters), then tap Save Password. You'll see "Password changed successfully!" and can sign in with your new password.

Reset links work once and expire after 24 hours. If you see "Reset password token has expired. Please request a new password reset link.", just start over and request a new email. Only the newest link works.

Locked out after too many attempts?

To protect your account, NetGym pauses sign-in after several wrong passwords in a row. There are two kinds of lock, and they're handled differently.

Sign-in temporarily locked

This lock is on your account. The message shows a Try again in countdown, and the wait gets longer if wrong passwords keep being entered. You don't have to wait it out.

Click Reset your password to sign in now, follow the steps above, and your new password works right away.

Too many attempts from this location

This lock is on the network you're signing in from, for example shared gym Wi-Fi where several people have mistyped passwords. Resetting your password won't clear it. Wait for the countdown to finish, or try again from a different network, such as your phone's mobile data.

Still can't get in?

Your manager can set a new password for you from Settings → Users. They need permission to change passwords, and your profile must already be activated.

NetGym doesn't email you the new password, so your manager will need to tell you what it is.

A password your manager sets doesn't lift a Sign-in temporarily locked lock, so if you're locked, either wait for the countdown or reset your password yourself using the steps above.

Managers can follow Change/Reset Users Password.

Frequently Asked Questions

I didn't get the reset email. What now?

Check your spam and promotions folders, and make sure you entered the email your gym has on file.

If you see "Too many password reset requests. Please wait a few minutes and try again.", you've requested several emails in a short time. Wait a few minutes before you ask for another one.

Why does it say "Please first check your inbox and confirm your account."?

Your profile hasn't been activated yet, so there's no password to reset. Resend your activation email and set your password from there.

I belong to more than one gym. Does a reset change my password everywhere?

No. Each gym keeps its own password, so a reset only changes it for the gym you picked on Select your gym/studio. Repeat the steps for any other gym you need.
